What does the course include?

At AS level you will cover two modules:
- Introduction to Financial Accounting
- Financial & Management Accounting.
At A2 Level you will cover the following two modules:
- Further Aspects of Financial Accounting
- Further Aspects of Management Accounting

What do I need to get on this course?
You will require either 5 GCSE’s at grade A-C (Including Maths Grade B) or an equivalent Level 2 programme at grade Distinction
You will also be asked to take a Business AS level written assessment task.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment for each AS unit:
1 hour 30 minutes written paper each contributing 25% of the total A Level mark
Assessment for each A2 unit:
2 hour written paper each contributing 25% of the total A Level mark
Where does it lead?
AS/A2 Accounting is relevant to and can be combined with any number of subjects, e.g. other business related A levels, Science, Computing and Psychology A levels and Vocational Business, Science and IT courses.
It also prepares the student for entry into Higher Education for any related degrees or other subjects. It also provides a good basis for further training within the workplace, such as professional Accounting.
