Suitable For

Senior managers with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals. The qualification allows senior managers to critically evaluate their skills for their formal development as well as developing their strategic management skills, providing leadership and coaching to other managers whilst also focusing on organisational performance and strategy.

Course Content

Candidates must complete all Mandatory units with a credit value of 27, and then select units from the Optional Unit Group B to a minimum of 18 credits to gain accreditation meeting the minimum credit requirement of 45. Mandatory Units:

• Develop a strategic business plan
• Develop strategic direction and leadership
• Lead change in an organisation Option Unit Group B - there are a number of option units from which to make your choice.

Assessment Method

You will be allocated an assessor who will observe you carrying out your role within the workplace. You will be assessed using evidence from the workplace.

Progression

Successful candidates may expect to benefit from enhanced career prospects within management and leadership. Candidates may choose to progress to a vocationally related programme in management and leadership or a University programme of study.
