- CHM 3 - Kinetics, Equilibria and Organic Chemistry This unit develops the concepts of physical chemistry introduced at AS. 1hour 45minute exam
- CHM 4 - Energetics, Redox and Inorganic Chemistry 1hour 45minute exam
- CHM 5 - Investigative and Practical Skills - Internal Assessment. (coursework)
Assessment Method
Year one: Students will undertake two written examinations in June. The coursework, a practical investigation (ISA) will also be undertaken in the second/third term. Credit will also be given for practical work routinely done in class Year two: Students will undertake two written examinations in June. Another coursework practical will also be done. Again credit will be given for practicals undertaken in class.
Progression
Students may progress to further and higher education in chemistry, medicine, biochemistry and other related sciences.

Entry Requirements
GCSE (Grade B or above) in Maths and Science (Double Award), or Chemistry at Grade B or above. There is an initial test to determine your readiness to begin this course. You should seek guidance before enrolment. A minimum of 40% is required in a pre - test.
