  • Caring for People with an Advanced Life-limiting Condition (20 credits)

Negotiated modules

  • Negotiated modules of 5, 10 or 20 credits may be taken up to a maximum of 80 credits

Level 2

Core

  • Personal and Career Development (2) (10 credits)
  • Research Foundations (20 credits)

Options

  • Theoretical Perspectives of Care (20 credits)
  • Mentoring and Assessing in the Workplace (20 credits)
  • Promoting Health and Well-being (10 credits)
  • Supporting Individuals and Families through the Experience of Loss (10 credits)

Negotiated modules

  • Negotiated modules of 10 or 20 credits may be taken up to a maximum of 80 credits

Career opportunities

Studying this course can help you advance in your existing role or could take you into professional education or into specialist clinical, managerial or education roles within your own area of practice. You may use these courses to develop into Assistant Practitioner roles.

Course duration

Up to eight years for the diploma, up to five years for the certificate

Entry requirements and applying

NVQ Level 3 with two years' experience as a health or social care worker.
