Full Time and PT options the course will target increasingly transferable skills in specialist creative design practice. These skills are also very attractive to a range of other potential employers within the creative spectrum. The learning experience includes lectures, seminars, live projects, peer and group learning. This fully supports directed study and the development of individual practice. Opportunities for field trips, workshops and study visits add value to this experience. This along with a rolling programme of guest lectures from key industry specialists, live projects, selected placements and competitions also enhance links with industry.
Additional NotesAll level 3 students will undertake a range of live projects across the a range of creative skills. We have our own in-house design agency that will give you the opportunity to pitch for jobs and gain that all important industry experience with companies, design agencies and local community requirements.
Entry CriteriaThe HND requires excellent references and a tariff of 160 UCAS points from within one of the main pathway options of Graphics, Media, Fashion, Photography or Art. Any of the following are acceptable: • BTEC National or Extended Diploma • Foundation Art & Design • Access to H.E. • A levels (dependent on subjects) Mature applicants will also be considered on the basis of prior experience. You are asked to bring a portfolio of your work with you to the interview.
