International Foundation Course

* Taught at our Cheltenham campus in central England. * Full time for one college year - September to June. * A compressed, 6 month January entry course is available for some subjects for strong students with excellent English Language skills. * Intensive English training aimed at helping students reach an IELTS level of 6.0 or higher. * Academic writing and study skills. * Study Business Studies alongside home students. This covers areas such as marketing, law, management etc. * Introduction to British life in the 21st century - including a programme of visits to destinations of cultural and tourist interest. *Core skills including Numeracy (Maths) and Information Technology embedded in the course. * Academic and personal tutorial support. * Opportunities to visit UK universities. * Full, independent advice and guidance on subsequent university applications. * Access to all college facilities including: accommodation services, internet services, international student support, student services, students’ union, sports facilities, library, refectory and much more.

A good secondary school leaving certificate from your country (normally a minimum of 12 years at school). January students need strong grades. Students must be at least 16 years old on September 1st 2013. A good upper-intermediate level of English (for example IELTS 5.5 or higher for September entry, 6.0 or higher for January entry). An IELTS certificate is required. If English is your first language then a secondary school pass grade in English is usually sufficient. If you do not have this level of English we can offer you an English Language course to improve your English before going on to the International Foundation Course. Please ask us for details.
