Information Risk Management for HMG IA Practitioners – IS 1 & 2

• be a UK, EU or Commonwealth citizen
• hold current UK Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) screening or recognised equivalent
• be employed by the UK Government as a UK civil servant, another UK public body (such as the Police Service) or a private sector organisation and working on a contract with a UK public body
• work in a role which requires access to UK Government policy

• Identify the value of assets and business impacts
• Identify threats to assets
• Understand vulnerabilities and compromise methods
• Understand proportionate technical risk assessment and risk treatment
• Produce a Risk Management and Accreditation Document Set (RMADS)

This two day course will provide an introduction to Technical Risk Assessment and Risk Management using IA Standard 1 & 2.

The course builds on the Fundamentals of Information Assurance (IS) in HMG course and includes an introduction to asset valuation, vulnerability analysis, threat and risk assessment. Risk management and the production of Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS) are covered.
