A level Government and Politics provides an excellent introduction to the study of politics. It looks at how the UK is governed, both at home and within the context of the European Union, and considers the changing nature of the UK political system.

The A2 materials explores the key political issues that have shaped political debate in the UK in the context of European integration.

Entry requirements and hours of study

  • No formal qualifications are required, but essay-writing skills are advisable.
  • You should allow 150 hours of study for the AS and 150 hours for the A2, plus extra time for completing assignments.
