People in organisations is concerned with explaining organisations,
both the general and the particular. For instance it is interested
in developing general theories of decision-making or leadership or
communications which might apply broadly to all organisations.
Beyond this it is concerned with particularly the exploration of organisations by developing models which account for differences between organisations and which therefore can provide a more detailed framework for helping managers, and others, to influence organisational outcomes.
In this course you will come across a wide range of theories and ideas which provide general and particular accounts of organisations.
