This is a 'hands on' practical course and there are assignments set at the end of each Unit. These are submitted by e-mail to the course tutor. On the successful completion of the course as certificate is issued. This specifies the units of competencies gained through the course and as such serves as a useful enhancement to your CV.

This award was presented to Woodgrove Tutorials in the House of Commons by Clive Johnson FFA FIAB FCIB MIBC Chairman of Council.
BOOK-KEEPING guru Brian Harford FCCA, a Chartered Certified Accountant and Principal of Woodgrove Tutorials has been given a special award after training more top students than any other College in the country.
Under the guise of Woodgrove Tutorials, Brian's pioneering approach to distance learning has seen him finish top of the class among his peers. Brian, said: "Out of 300 Colleges I have had the top student in the International Association of Bookkeeping exams no less than eight times the last few years. "They realised that our record was exceptional and decided to give me a special award, sort of like a lifetime achievement award."
Brian received his award at a ceremony at Westminster alongside his wife Caroline who also plays a big part in the firm.
Over the years Woodgrove Tutorials has taught thousands of students by Distance Learning without ever meeting them. He said: "It is quite funny really, I've had 1000s of students but if I bumped into them in the street I wouldn't know half of them. We have students from all sorts of backgrounds."

The Trial Balance.
Final Accounts - Trading and Profit and Loss Account.
Final Accounts - The Balance Sheet (Accruals, Prepayments and Depreciation)
Accounting for Value Added Tax (Sales and Purchases Day Books)
Wages, Income Tax (P.AY.E.) and National Insurance.
Bank Reconciliation.
Qualifications
Qualification: Certificate in Basic Book-Keeping and Accounts
On successful completion of the course, the certificate is issued by Woodgrove TutorialsRequirements for Entry
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Study Hours
This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
