Course Description
The ILM Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Management has been designed for senior managers with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals. The qualification allows learners to develop their strategic management skills, providing leadership and coaching to other managers while also focusing on organisational performance and strategy.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners:
• will undertake an initial assessment to determine the appropriate NVQ level and optional units
• should normally be employed in a management role to gather evidence from the workplace for assessment
• who are not currently in employment may be able to join the qualification if they are able to gather evidence of recent management experience in a paid or voluntary capacity from within a period of three years of registration.
Flexibility
Learners take three mandatory units covering the development of strategic business plans, the strategic direction and leadership of an organisation and leading change within an organisation. They then choose from a diverse range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring their learning to meet their individual and organisational needs.

QCF
All of ILM’s new NVQs are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing successful learners with transferable unit credit.
National Credit Value
45 credits.
Typical Guided Learning Hours - 168 via highly flexible, open and on line methods.
Support
Full support offered following initial induction and development of personal study plan with an assigned / dedicated tutor. Unlimited telephone, email and SKYPE support.
Typical Programme Outline
Highly flexible to suit learner and employer needs.
Induction – one hour
Tutorial support – at least two hours
Three mandatory units with a total credit value of 27.

- Develop strategic direction and leadership
- Lead Change in an organisation
Optional units with a total credit value of 18 are also needed to be completed.
