Management NVQ Diploma Level 7 Awarding Body: Institute of
Leadership and Management (ILM) Course Details This NVQ programme
is competence based and is concerned with developingthe candidate’s
performance in the workplace. The mandatory units are: Develop a
strategic business plan. Develop strategic direction and
leadership. Lead change in an organisation. Optional units are
chosen from a diverse range of 14 units, examples are: Put a
strategic business plan into action. Establish policies and
procedures. Plan an organisation’s workforce. Manage quality
systems. Inform strategic decision making. Lead innovation within
an organisation. Manage a budget for own area of work or activity.
The optional units are decided collaboratively between the assessor
and the enrolled candidate tailoring their learning to meet their
individual and organisational needs. Each candidate undertakes an
induction to the programme and receives individual tutorial support
to help them in their studies. To achieve the Level 7 NVQ Diploma a
minimum of 45 credits must be achieved. A Course for The course is
specially designed for senior managers with a high degree of
autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals.
Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements; however
candidates will undertake an initial assessment to determine the
appropriate NVQ level and optional units. Candidates should be
employed in a role where they are able to gather evidence from the
workplace for assessment. Those currently not in employment may
still join the programme if they are able to gather evidence of
recent senior management experience in a paid or voluntary capacity
from within a period of three years of registration.
