Develop your numeracy skills to help you at home and at work with Working Maths. This course also gives you the opportunity to take a numeracy/maths qualification please contact us to find out more.

The course focuses on improving your maths skills in a practical way such as: calculating percentages, taking measurements and managing your finances.

You take a numeracy exam at the appropriate level.

You work individually in pairs and in groups in class using a variety of resources including using IT to support your numeracy. You work at the level and pace you feel comfortable with and your teachers support you all the way.

Candidates must undertake an Initial Assessment and an interview to determine if the course is suitable for their needs. Candidates must make a firm commitment to attend the whole course.

Students at the appropriate level can progress to the higher level Working Maths courses in the following term or vocational courses at the College.
