Who is this course for? This course is for students who want to improve their numeracy skills and are working at L1 or L2. You must enrol fully to have a place in the class. What qualifications or experience do I need ? You do not need qualifications to start this course. Your numeracy skills should all be very nearly at the level of the course. You should be able to understand and use English to answer numeracy questions. Measures - including money and foreign currency, time, metric and imperial length, distance, weight and capacity. Graphs, charts and averages. How will I be assessed ? Levels 1 and 2: National Numeracy Tests (1hour). What qualifications could I achieve ? City & Guilds 3792 Certificate in Adult Numeracy at Level 1 or 2. What can the course lead to ? Students can progress to vocational courses, other further education courses including Access ,training or employment. How do I join the course ? At the start of the year, attend an advertised enrolment session. You must enrol fully to have a place in the class. If starting later phone Course Information on 020 8266 4000. Will I need an interview ? You will have a personal interview to assess your skills and you will receive advice about suitable classes. This may take up to 2 hours. Are there any extra costs for equipment/materials ? No Further Information Basic skills are only available to ages 19+
