If you are interested in traditional black and white photography (chemical-based wet processing methods) and using a 35mm SLR camera to take and process black and white film this session will give you an introduction to our longer courses.
This is a non-accredited evening course and is suitable for
beginners and students who have used this method before and wish to
refresh knowledge and skills. You will learn how to use a 35mm SLR
camera process black and white film and traditionally hand print
black and white images using chemical-based wet processing
methods.
You will receive individual feedback and discussion about your work
during each session. There will be no formal assessment on this
course but guidance and feedback on your progression throughout the
course will assist with your personal development and skill
level.
You will undertake a series of set tasks which encourage you to
learn how to use a 35mm camera and process and develop individual
pictures. This is a practical based course with group and
individual demonstrations on traditional photography. All practice
is supported by theory and technical information.
You will develop your technical skills and creativity to encompass new processes and applications producing a set of black and white photographs.
No formal entry requirements/qualifications needed just a basic knowledge and enthusiasm for traditional photography. It is helpful to bring your own SLR camera but not a necessity.
Re-enrol for further terms or try a different leisure-based creative course.
