Salon Management VTCT Level 4 Diploma

The Salon Management Level 4 Diploma is ideal for qualified hairdressers or beauty therapists who wish to progress to/develop existing skills in managing a salon, spa, or large team of stylists or therapists.

You learn:

- management of health, safety and security in the salon
- quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector
- sales management in the hair and beauty sector
- public relations in the hair and beauty sector
- salon management

You also choose up to 3 of the following units

- hair colour correction
- managing the creation of a hair style collection
- marketing in the hair and beauty sector
- advanced epilation techniques
- intimate waxing for female clients
- individual permanent lashes
- using micro pigmentation techniques to enhance appearance

Teaching and learning is by practical and theory, research and gaining experience in a realistic working environment.

Assessment: some units have written exams, others are assessed by your portfolio of evidence and practical observations.

You gain skills in management, marketing and sales (and targets), and you gain advanced technical skills too.

The qualification awarded is the VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management.

Required qualifications are:

- NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy (or equivalent)

Required skills are:

- the ability to learn independently
- desire to learn
- good customer service skills
- good organizational skills

Ideally you will have salon experience too.

This course leads to careers in salon or spa management, or leading a team. It can also lead to university degrees in salon management.
