The majority of your time will be classroom based, although you
will draw on your own experiences from the workplace to influence
each session.
Learning activities include lectures, workshops and practical
sessions. A strong emphasis is placed on working and learning with
others and you are regularly set tasks to complete in partnership
with other students.
You also need to be able to work independently and take
responsibility for your own learning.
Formal assessment is through written reports, reflective PDP
statements, presentations, tutor observations, essays and
simulations. Feedback is provided following each assessment
activity by the tutor and you will have access to further support
through the personal tutorial provision.
The qualification awarded is the CIPD Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice.
All candidates are requested to submit an up-to-date CV for consideration. Following which, if appropriate, you will be invited to an information briefing session at which you will have access to more detailed information and an interview with the Course Leader.
On successful completion of the course, you can progress to the CIPD Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management
