This is an advanced course for qualified bricklayers only. Complex masonry structures and supervisory roles in construction are the main contents of the course.
You learn:
- how to set out and build complex masonry structures including angled work, radius work, arches and decorative brickwork
- the responsibilities of supervisory roles in construction
- eco-friendly construction and sustainable construction methods
- how to complete renovation and maintenance work
You gain the ability to construct complex masonry structues and the knowledge required to supervise the work of others.
This also covers general renovation work involving several different trades.

You need your Level 2 brickwork certificate.
You may also need to complete Level 2 functional skills, depending
on your qualifications from school.
You must be willing to study for an additional qualification in
English and/or maths.

You will be invited to attend an interview and complete an internal
assessment when you apply. All students will have their literacy
and numeracy needs supported within the programme.
You can find work and move into the workplace.
PPE (personal protective equipment) must be provided by you. Tools and materials will be provided by the College.
