About This Course:This course is an introduction to the creative skills of photography, printmaking, digital media, design, portfolio production and presentation. This is a hands-on, practical course giving you the opportunity to develop a broad base of creative and technical skills within a variety of different creative industry disciplines. The course is delivered through practical workshops, studios, computer labs and educational visits.
What You Need:- Two Standard Grades at Level 4 or above in English and Art/Graphic Communication or relevant subject, OR
- Personal experience

What You Study:The subjects you may study include: Introduction to Photography, Studio Photography, Basic Camera Techniques, Portraiture Skills, The Design Process, Creative Digital Imaging, Introduction to Screen Printing, Creative Printmaking, T-Shirt Design and Printing, Computer Applications for Design and Print, Photo-book Design and Production, Portfolio Preparation, Communication.
After The Course:This course prepares students for progression to NC level courses at City of Glasgow College including; Creative Printmaking and Photography. Successful students may be able to progress to courses at HNC/HND level in related areas.
How Long:One year, starting in August.
Location:City Campus North Hanover Street.
