About This Course:The NC course gives you a strong foundation in contemporary jewellery design and manufacture. It’s an introduction to practical workshop skills and you use a wide range of tools and machinery.
- Two Standard Grades at Credit Level 1 or 2 in Art & Design and English.
- Examples of your Art & Design work.

What You Study:Techniques covered include: Metal Forming, Decorative Finishing, Stone-setting, Design for Jewellers.
After The Course:Career
Most successful NC students continue to further study, however some may get jobs in retail jewellery, manufacturing jewellery or become self employed.

With an NC you can study HND Jewellery Design at the college, or HNC Applied Arts.
How Long:One year, starting in August.
Location:City Campus North Hanover Street.
