Who is this course for? This is an introductory course aimed at students who have an interest in Interior Design. You may have little or no experience of Art and Design but are keen to develop skills relating to design realisation and specific practical work. What qualifications or experience do I need ? A general interest in Art and Design especially drawing and textiles techniques are essential. Some basic understanding of theories involved in the creative process is desirable. What will I study ? The course will develop and improve your skills in specific areas of the interior design discipline including an understanding of basic principles. The practical course will cover aspects of Interior Design from fabrics and colour to room layout, creating lighting, space and balance. How will I be assessed ? The practical units have specific themes/assignments set by the course tutor. You are expected to complete a series of preparatory studies and a final outcome. What qualifications could I achieve ?
