About This Course:

This course is designed for overseas cadets who have already completed their HND Nautical Science, or other cadets who have completed a BSc Nautical Science. The course includes preparation for Officer of the Watch Orals and written examinations, Efficient Deck Hand (EDH) and NARAST Operational course.

What You Need:

Overseas cadets will need an HND Nautical Science, 15 months’ seagoing service and a completed trainee record book. BSc and UK HND Nautical Science cadets will need 12 months’ seatime plus a completed trainee record book or a completed VQ portfolio for level 2 and 3.

Price:

£1346 (Non EU Fees £1890)

The subjects you’ll study are Navigation, Stability, Cargowork, Tides and Sailings, Meteorology, Chartwork, Electronic Navigation, Signals, EDH, and Bridge Watchkeeping.

After The Course:

Progression to Class 2 and Class 1 Deck Officer Certificate of Competency or shore employment in the marine sector.
