From day one, you will begin your training to get you ready for a career in the public services. You will learn about leadership and teamwork, how the public services are affected by the Government and its policies, and you will gain an understanding about discipline. It is a practical work-related course, and you will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations. You will take part in adventurous activities, sport and recreation and a variety of service related exercise drills. You will participate in residential stays and an activities trips and camping trips. You will visit and have visits from the emergency services, who will give you an insight to their sector and help you explore the careers opportunities.

What next
