One of the only courses allowing you to specialise in the second year. 5. An incredibly cheap way of doing HE. What will I Study? You will learn the practical and theoretical aspects of all areas of graphic design. Some of the units include: page layout, typographic design, moving image, contextual Studies, research techniques, music video production, professional practice, post-production, marketing, networking, design methods, ideas generation, advanced digital practice, animation, motion graphics, photography and lighting. Second year allows specialisation in a specific area depending on your career intentions. How will I be Taught? All of the projects throughout the course have been designed in partnership with businesses and professionals in order to give the most realistic possible experience. You will learn how to work with clients creating professional and functional products, from client questionnaire through to pitch and delivery. You will develop team focused skills and learn through practical workshops, seminars, case studies, guest speakers, visits work experience and mentoring from professionals and tutors. How will I be Assessed? Assessment is through portfolio based course work and work experience. You will be able to select a method of recording creative development to suit your needs, usually in the form of digital or traditional sketchbook. Some outcomes may be assessed through professional pitch. What our students say?
