City and Guilds Award in Media Make-up Level 3

This course is designed for students that have a creative flare for make-up. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills in areas related to advanced and media make-up. It will include special effects make-up techniques and prosthetics.This course will be college based and include some external work experience with local theatres. You will study a range of units which will incorporate: • Production arts planning • Production for theatre performance • Period make-up for performing arts • Hair styling and dressing for performers • Fantasy hair design for performers How will I be Taught? Theory and practical lessons will be delivered over one evening per week. Much of the learning process will be student centred and will require commitment, dedication and the ability to conduct independent research How will I be Assessed?
