Enterprise Art Sale and end of year show! What will I Study? This
course is designed for you to; learn by direct experience as most
of the work is practical, involving you developing a range of
skills across different art, design and media workshops. With
outcomes produced in each workshop you will have the opportunity to
use a wide variety of materials and equipment in an expressive and
creative way. You will undertake several projects during the course
and learn to work creatively to fulfil a client brief and enable
your knowledge and skills to be assessed. All work will be
completed to strict deadlines and will contain a small amount of
written work. Workshops include: Printmaking, mark making,
painting, textiles, sculpture, photography, image manipulation,
graphic design, 3D materials exploration, visual and contextual
studies, video, animation among others… How will I be Taught?
Throughout the year you will be taught by practical demonstrations
through discussion and group critiques, using computer
presentations, team teaching and through educational visits to
galleries and places of interest. The course culminates with a
Final Major Project presented in the form of a final group
exhibition! How will I be Assessed? The BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Art
& Design is delivered over one academic year with 15 hours per
week of contact time with lecturers. This course is structured into
units which provide a total amount of credits. 1 to 1 feedback and
targets are set at the end of each project. What our students say?
