Academic Progression:

During their time on the Transitions course, students will have the opportunity to try our other provision within City College, with a view to progression, which will be planned individually as students become ready for their next steps.

Career Progression:

MINT - offers support through job searching and coaching to allow students with a barrier to employment to progress into the world of work. Students should have completed a work-placement prior to being referred.

Project Search - a CCN course based at NORSE and the N&NUH. Rotations allowing studetns to gain real work experience and skills with the support of their colleagues.

Full Description:

Offering transition for those students who need an extended period of adjustment and confidence building prior to accessing further courses within college.

The course is based in the Thetford Building on the southern edge of the Ipswich Road campus, where we have a large open-plan classroom, a separate IT suite and a small teaching kitchen. Originally a Victorian house, it has been completely renovated during summer 2012.

Students are supervised on arrival and departure, during breaks and lunchtimes. There are high levels of support throughout the day, which may be on a 1:1 basis or shared depending on individual need.

There may be some additional costs throughout the year towards extra-curricular actvities.
