During the programme you will also find out about the wide range of careers available within the retail industry to help you plan for the future.
Full Description:The Higher Diploma will expand and develop your knowledge of the whole retail industry and how it works, exploring the various sub-sectors and channels and the relationship between UK and international businesses. You will learn how to set up and run a retail business, and look at inspirational entrepreneurs to see what has made them so successful. You will learn more about the ways retailers present and sell their products, attract customers and make sure they have a positive experience. The course will also help you develop essential communication and negotiation techniques for different types of sales situations. With at least ten days work experience during the course, you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with people in a retail environment and develop skills and knowledge that will give you a head start in a retail career, or even in another profession if you decide it is not for you.
