Minimum Age: 16 Start Date: 03/09/2012 End Date: 05/07/2013 Course Length: One year Course Schedule: Three Days per week Entry Requirements:No formal entry requirements. Offers of place based on interview.
Core Skills:Literacy, numeracy, ICT and qualifications as appropriate.

Assessment:Students will work towards at least one of the following qualifications
- ASDAN award/certificate in Personal Social Development
- Duke of Edinburgh's Award (Skills, Physical Recreation, Expedition and Volunteering)
- Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT
In addition to these qualifications there will be ongoing target setting and a record of work.
Academic Progression:The course could lead onto the Enterprise provision offered by the School of Foundation Studies. Another pathway could be into Project Search. All progression will be supported and advice offered.
Career Progression:MINT - offers support through job searching and coaching to allow studetns with a barrier to employment to progress into the world of work. Students should have completed a work-placement before being referred.
Project Search - a CCN course based at NORSE or the N&NUH. Rotations allowing students to gain real life work experience and skills with the support of their colleagues.
Full Description:Through participation in the inspirational activities students will go on a process of discovery within a community where they will be able to take the initiative, take responsibility and develop their organisational skills so that they are prepared for further challenges.
Students will work towards personal and team targets in a supported environment where all contributions will be valued. They will be enabled to develop their strengths in order to pursue their interests and meet their needs.
Course fee: No course fee Costs:Should you wish to participate in the residential trips and expeditions there will be additional costs involved.
