Summary:

The qualification is a nationally recognised management qualification with the Institute of Leadership and Management; the most widely recognised management awarding body with employers and part of the City and Guilds group. It is used by both the public and private sectors as a vehicle for the development of managers.

The qualification is also seen as a qualifying criteria for progression into middle management. It is a stepping stone towards the Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (PgDMS) and also enables individuals to obtain entry to wide range of professional programmes.
