Nationally recognised retail Qualification
This award has been designed by the UEA, a consortium of educational providers, the Sector Skills Council (Skillsmart) and Foundation degree forward (fdf). Its purpose is to create a nationally recognised qualification for managers and management trainees working in the retail industry.
Course Code: H0085 Start Date: 28/01/2013 Course Length: 2 Year Part Time (Also Course starts in January, May and September) Course Schedule: The FdA in Retailing offers opportunities to start the programme in January, May of September Entry Requirements:For entry to the Course the applicant must:
(a) be employed in retail;
(b) have a minimum of 80 points UCAS, or an equivalent, in order to qualify for entry to the programme;
(c) be able to speak and write in English (to ESOL 6 entry level or equivalent) and must have equivalent to level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy;
(d) be subject to selection through interview before entry to the course; and
(e) demonstrate management potential.
Exceptions may be granted from formal (e.g. points-based) entry requirements for mature retail students with extensive retail work experience.

- Supply Chain Managment or Leadership in Retail
Assessment will be via work-based projects, and assignments (like a reflective log and portfolio). All formal assessment activities are based on the reality of the students’ workplace.
Academic Progression:Articulated progression routes (the third year) to an honours degree currently available at CCN. For example a BA (Hons) Business Management and BA (Hons) Leadership and Management).

Full Description:The programme focuses upon management, consumer behaviour, in-store marketing, management of information, retail law and retail leadership and draws upon the workplace to structure and inform the development of the learning materials.
You will study the following modules:

- Retail Law
- Manage and Develop People in Retail

The programme is delivered using an on line classroom for e learning delivery, and supported by:
