The overarching goal of the course is to provide graduates a programme of learning opportunities which will develop their leadership and management knowledge and skills in the workplace.
Methods of Teaching and Learning. The programme is delivered using:
- Inductions to course and modules
- Lectures
- Seminars
- Workshops (e.g. for the Dissertation Project)
- On line learning material
- Assignments
- Work place material and work experience
The course will normally take place over two 15 week semesters. During Semesters, in an average week students’ lecturer contact will on average be for 7.5 hours per week. Module schemes of learning and the course handbook calendar will reflect the course deliver times.
To allow students a longer period of study to devote the Dissertation Project intended learning outcomes the duration of the module is extended. This will mean the second oral presentation and written dissertation will be presented from mid to late August.
Course attendance – will normally be on a Thursday or Friday and there will be a 5 morning sessions on a Saturday to attend for research methods (to support the Dissertation Project)
