Full TimeHow you will gain the qualification
Assessment will be by continuous observation of practical skills
and supporting oral questions. Underpinning theoretical knowledge
will be assessed by written tests, case studies and assignments.
Portfolio building is an integral part of the course.
The college has specialist salons that are open to the public
and provide a realist working environment.
Work experience within a commercial establishment e.g. theatre or photographic studio is a compulsory part of the course to enable the student to work under direction.
What qualifications you need
You must have successfully completed Level 2 hairdressing or beauty therapy.

Progression routes for learners successfully completing this
qualification will be many and varied depending on their age,
background learning and current or previous work
experience.
On completion of the qualification candidates may progress into employment or onto studying of further Level 3 VTCT qualifications. Learners with sufficient UCAS points may consider post graduate study.
