Full Time

Over the two years students will complete a programme which will include the following compulsory units: The Business Environment Business Resources Introduction to Marketing Business Communication Students will also study fourteen specialist units which will include topics such as finance, marketing, human resources, management, law, retail, economics, Europe and e-business. In addition to your main course you will have the opportunity to take the Welsh Baccalaureate as part of the programme.

How you will gain the qualification

All of the units are assessed internally through coursework, practical exercises and observation. Grading is on a Pass/Merit/Distinction/Distinction* scale and each candidate will receive 3 grades for the Extended Diploma. The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma will receive 1 grade.


What qualifications you need


5 GCSEs Grade A* to C inc. English (or OCN L2 English), OR a GNVQ Intermediate or BTEC First qualification (Distinction) AND English GCSE A* to C or OCN L2 English. All candidates wishing to take a vocational programme will be interviewed prior to enrolment. Special circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.



Teaching is of a very practical nature, with a mixture of lectures, case studies, coursework, discussions and research.



Essential skills and Wider skills will be integrated into the coursework and you will be expected to complete all aspects of the course.
