Full TimeThis course will help you develop your servicing and repair skills and is also appropriate for those following Foundation Modern Apprenticeship programmes. You will learn about engine systems (fuel, cooling, ignition, air and exhaust), chassis (steering, suspension, brakes and bodywork), transmission (clutch, gearbox and final drive), electrical systems (battery, start, charge and lighting) and Health and Safety.
How you will gain the qualification
Practical activities will take place in a realistic garage/workshop environment. Knowledge will be tested by short written tests and multi-choice questions and answers. Portfolio assessment for work based qualification.

Successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification with the majority of units at Credit or Distinction or suitable industry experience.
