Description

Part Time

The course provides realistic motor vehicle skills training, assessment and knowledge testing. Students will be involved in removing motor vehicle components for service, replacement and repair. Modern Apprenticeship students will also need to be assessed for and complete Essential skills at Level 2.




Mandatory Units:


Contribute to workplace good housekeeping.


Ensure your own actoins reduce risks to health and safety.


Maintain positive working relationships.


Carry out routine vehicle maintenance.


Remove and replace engine units and components.


Remove and replace auxiliary electrical units and components.


Remove and replace chassis units and components.

How you will gain the qualification

Practical activities will be assessed in the workplace and in a realistic working enviroment. Knowledge will be tested by multi-choice questions and answers and written assignments.


What qualifications you need

Students will need to be working in the Motor Vehicle Industry. Students need to be literate, numerate and have good communication skills. All students need to attend an interview.


Where to next

Employment in the Motor Vehicle Industry. Progression into Professional Management within the Motor Industry or progression to Level 3.
