How you will gain the qualification
Students will be entered for the Foundation or Higher Tiers of the WJEC examination according to their performance during the course. The weighting of the tests is as follows:-
Listening unit 1 20%, Speaking unit 2 30%, Reading unit 20% Writing unit 4 30%. The Writing and speaking elements are done as controlled assessments in class.
What qualifications you need
Some basic knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not essential.
Where to next
Languages are increasingly valuable in a wide range of careers and therefore combine well with any subject, particularly another language. Those achieving a grade C (but preferably A or B) may progress to AS Level in one year.
