The course is aimed at learners who wish to gain skills in warehousing, distribution and storage.
Learners will complete training relevant to their work, selecting NVQ units to support their day to day duties. These can include picking stock and making up orders and processing orders for goods. Learners will also complete functional skills in English and maths.

Entry Requirements:
Interview required
You will be assessed for your potential to
achieve the apprenticeship. The assessment will depend upon the
level and range of activities you will be undertaking in the
workplace.
You may need to undergo an initial assessment of your English and
maths skills in which you are required to be working at or towards
level 1.
All learners must be of a minimum age of 16 subject to funding and
statutory requirements.
At the start of your apprenticeship you will need to be employed by
a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 16 hours a week.
You also need to have been a resident in the EU for at least 3
years.
Commitment and motivation are necessary to complete the course.
Assessment:
The NVQ is assessed via a portfolio
containing evidence gathered from the workplace, which proves your
skills. Evidence can include witness statements, samples of work
and assessor observations.
Functional skills tests to be completed. Attendance of hubs and
exams will be at a designated campus.
Progression from this course:
Warehouse workers are employed all over the UK by various employers such as supermarkets, mail order companies and high street shops. Within these companies learners may have opportunities to progress through promotion to team leader then to warehouse manager.

Course Costs:
There are currently no fees payable by young people on Apprenticeship programmes. Fees may be payable by the employer where the candidate is 19 or older. Details available on request.
