How you will gain the qualification

Assessment is via a combination of written assignments and one practical observation of a teaching session (this will be within the course and delivered to peers).

What qualifications you need

There are no formal entry requirements. However, it is recommended that learners have evidence of level 3 vocational skills in the area in which they are teaching or wish to teach, if they are to progress into teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Successful learners may apply for the PGCE / Cert.Ed. at Yale College.

For PGCE / Cert.Ed.entry applicants must also have a degree at minimum 2(2) classification or NVQ 3 minimum for vocational specialisms.
