AGORED CYMRU DIPLOMA IN LEARNING COACHING
This course is a follow on from the Certificate in Learning
Coaching and enables staff supporting young people aged 14-19 to
meet the requirements of the Welsh Assembly Government’s Learning
Pathways 14-19 agenda. The course aims to ensure that those
providing learning coaching functions do so in a manner that
supports learners aged 14-19 to participate in education and
training, take advantage of opportunities for employment, and
participate effectively and responsibly in their
communities

How you will gain the qualification
Written portfolio, case studies, witness statements, essays, poster presentation, projects, research (choice of three submitted units from four topics).
What qualifications you need
All applicants must hold an Agored Cymru Certificate in Learning
Coaching level 4 qualification.
Those applying for places need to provide evidence of paid
employment within, or a voluntary commitment to, an educational
and/or training setting where there are 14-19 year old learners and
where they are able to undertake learning coaching for a minimum of
75 hours over six months. These arrangements must be in place prior
to entry onto the programme. This is a compulsory element and entry
to the programme is dependent on satisfactory evidence of
this.
A further condition of entry is the requirement for applicants, if applicable to their work-based setting, to demonstrate that they hold a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) or DBS disclosure. This condition applies throughout the duration of the programme. Any change in circumstances or eligibility in relation to the enhanced CRB check must be communicated to the Programme Coordinator without delay.
