Sociology AS/A Level
General information
Sociology is suitable for students who are interested in multi-cultural Britain and the way relationships between rich and poor countries affect people's lives. During the AS course students will study families and households. For the second unit students study sociological research methods and education.
On the A2 course students move on to study global development and crime and deviance and sociological theory and research.
Teaching and assessment
AS and A2 courses are assessed through 100% examination.
Entry requirements
7 GCSEs grade A-C including English Language and 1 B grade in an academic subject
