These courses provide students with a balanced and stimulating introduction to Politics.
Course content
The AS course covers: democracy and elections in the UK; the political parties and pressure groups; the roles of Parliament, the executive and judiciary; constitutional reform, devolution and EC membership.
The A2 course goes on to deal with political ideas and ideologies such as liberalism, socialism, conservatism, nationalism, anarchism, Ecologism and Multiculturalism, fascism and feminism. Entry requirements
7 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and at least 1 B grade.
