Sociology is a lively and interesting subject, and an ideal choice for anybody interested in multi-cultural Britain and the way it affects people's lives.
Course content
The course is divided into two units. Unit 1 covers studying society; families and household and education. By contrast in unit 2, students study social control, crime and deviance; power and the mass media.
Teaching and assessment
The course is assessed through 100% exams. Unit 1 in January and Unit 2 in June.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs - 3 D grades and 1 C grade.
