AS/A Level Film Studies is a theory-based course in which students will analyse film sequences, create ideas for films and study the film industry and audience.
Course content
AS Film Studies students will develop their analytical skills by writing essays about film sequences and creating ideas for film productions. The exam units offer students the opportunity to explore the film industry in the UK and the US and its relationship with audiences.
A2 students will develop their independent critical thinking through a research project and by creating a short film. The exam at A2 allows students the opportunity to look at films from around the world and to discuss film spect…

Entry requirements
7 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and at least 1 B grade.
