Description
This 6 hour course will provide you with an overview of how to support children with Down’s Syndrome and children on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) in mainstream education.The course will explore the needs children have and challenges they may face within main stream education. The course will break into two sessions to focus upon each learning need. The course will cover a range of strategies that Teaching Assistants can use to enable children with Down’s syndrome and ASD to engage in learning and have a positive experience within main stream education.
