How will the course be delivered?

The courses take place over 10 x 3 hour evening sessions. The emphasis is on practical deployment and configuration. Information will be presented in a lecture format with practical labs, allowing students to gain hands-on experience. We recommend that students undertake additional self-study. We will recommend a course text that we suggest you purchase.

Course Entry Requirements

This course is aimed at IT professionals who work in the complex computing environment of medium to large companies. You should have at least one year of experience implementing and administering Windows Server 2008. Many students use this course as progression from CompTia A+.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

  • More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
  • 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
  • 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
  • 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
  • Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

70-640: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring which is assessed through an on-line test. Microsoft often promotes special offers for the exams, such as discounts or free re-sits.

What can I do next?

Successful completion of exam 70-640 will give you ‘Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist’ status, if you also achieve exams 70-642 and 70-646 you gain Microsoft Certified Solution Associates.
