Sugar Pulling

Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in learning sugar pulling techniques.
What will I study?The following topics will be covered:
Day 1
Delegates will be welcomed at 8.00 am and coffee will be provided on arrival. The day will consist of:
- Demonstration of the basic boiling preparation process, and the pulling technique
- Demonstration of piped sugar water fountain
- Demonstration of poured sugar showpiece
- Demonstration and delegates make hedgeroses and roses on a plaque with leaves and spirals
- Demonstration of blown sugar and delegates make a snowman on plaque with hat and scarf
- Blow and colour paint 2 apples, pears, banana, aprico…

Day 2
Delegates will:
- Make a sugar basket in the morning session
- Fill basket with blown fruit, decorate with ribbon and roses package products for transport home
Through practical activities alongside a tutor and other delegates at a similar level.
Course Entry RequirementsThere are no entry criteria other than a keen interest in this subject.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?You will receive a Blackburn College Certificate of Attendance .
