Legal English
This course will develop your skills for communicating in international meetings and negotiations. Topics will cover administrative law, employment law and will include studying a variety of institutions and legislative procedures.
International Business Communication
This course is aimed at those studying business or working in a business environment, who wish develop their command of business English within a variety of business contexts. Topics will cover presenting, negotiating terms and report writing.
English for Bankers
This course focusses on key aspects of the world of finance and banking and the language focus is centred entirely on contexts within both areas.
English for Human Resources
This course will equip you with the language and knowledge to undertake a range of HR roles with confidence. Topics will include conducting appraisals, recruitment and selection procedures and disciplinary processes. You will also hear talks from HR managers in the UK.
English for Oil and Gas Industries
This course is aimed at improving communication skills within this context. It will focus on the recognition and usage of key terminology and other skills required within the industry.
English for Hospitality & Retail Management
This course will quip you with the language skills specifically related to developing management skills across these two sectors.
Lecturing Skills in English
This course is designed for teachers and lecturers who are not native speakers in colleges and universities who use English as the main language of instruction. The course will focus on how to plan and deliver excellent lectures, seminars and tutorials.
English for Art and Design
This course will provide students with experience of a variety of Art and Design topics with a focus on the language of Art and Design.
English for Engineers
This course will develop skills and understanding around a variety of key topics within the industry of engineering: including Telecommunications, solar energy and construction engineering.
English for Fire-Fighters
This course focuses on the application of key knowledge outcomes to current Fire Service operations and strategy. The course will develop academic and language skills aimed at preparing people within the sector.
English for Beatles Fans
The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960 who became the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the history of popular music. Their best-known line-up consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
This course aims to develop your language skills through discussion and activities based on the history and songs of this very famous musical band. Students will have the opportunity to develop their aural skills by completing tasks around their most popular songs, read about and discuss aspects of the Beatles career and personal lives and develop their communicative skills and use of social English. A large part of this course will consist of Beatle related social activities, including visits to the Beatles Museum and the Cavern Club, Liverpool and the Beatles’ childhood homes.
Age Limit
You’ll need to be at least 18 to study on these courses.
Entry Requirements
Students intending to come with a Tier 4 General Student Visa must have a minimum of IELTS 4.0 with no less than 4.0 in all elements (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Students are accepted at a lower level if coming on a Student Visitor Visa, but must already have some ability in English language.
