What will I study?

Students will firstly define what an effective photographic portrait is. Also the student will learn how to use DSLR camera techniques and supplementary equipment, lighting and environments to create a varied range of portraiture.

Further to this, time will be devoted to marketing techniques and advice on running a small portrait business. A series of projects (both practical and theoretical) will challenge the student to engage with digital technology whilst at the same time allowing them to explore photographic portrait techniques learned during the sessions.

Throughout the course, the students developing portfolio will be reviewed by a specialist photography tutor. Advice will be offered on how to further improve the images. This will be via 1:1 tutorial where you will receive detailed feedback, towards the end of the course.
