These techniques, correctly applied can provide exceptional results in the rehabilitation of chronic pain conditions. Stretching also provides increased flexibility for not only athletes but any client with restrictions in joint mobility, Overall creating a general feeling of lightness and wellness in everyone.
Join us for this hands-on day where by the end of the day you will be able to:
- Understand the general stretching guidelines
- Understand and demonstrate the difference between active and passive stretching
- Advise and demonstrate active stretches on major muscle groups of the body
- Advise and demonstrate passive stretches on major muscle groups of the body
- Carry out neuromuscular technique (nmt) on selected muscles
- Explain the procedure for developmental stretching
- Carry out soft tissue release (str) on selected muscles
- Carry out proprioceptive neuro facilitation (pnf) techniques on selected muscles
- Incorporate a variety of stretching methods into your treatments
- Devise safe and appropriate stretching programmes for your clients
Most therapists are unaware of the incredible benefits of effective stretching. Armed with the knowledge of a variety of stretching techniques and an understanding of the difference between effective and ineffective stretching, you will be able to incorporate stretching methods into your treatment as well as devise safe and appropriate stretching programmes for your clients to do between massage treatments.
Effective stretching is an essential part of massage therapy and can provide exceptional results in the rehabilitation of chronic pain conditions. Stretching provides increased flexibility for athletes and creates a general feeling of wellness in everyone.
Incorporating stretching techniques into your massage routine will distinguish you from other therapists and save your wrists and hands.

The qualification is fully insurable to practice and is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (http://www.the-cma.org.uk/) and the Professional Beauty Guild (http://www.beautyguild.com/).
How will the course be delivered?The course runs for 1 day and is a mixture of practical and
theory, with a practical assessment at the end of the day. You will
receive comprehensive guidance notes and information to take home
with you, as well as continued support from our tutors following
your successfully passing of your practical assessment at the end
of the workshop.
Students attending on this course will have already achieved their Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in either Swedish, Holistic, Body Massage, Beauty Massage, Spa Massage and have achieved their level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Qualification.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?Students will receive an Accredited Certificate upon successful completion of the course. You will receive comprehensive guidance notes and information to take home with you, as well as continued support from our tutors following your successfully passing of your practical assessment at the end of the workshop.

How much does it cost?
The cost of the course is £125.00 per person including registration fees, all equipment, information manual and an Accredited Certificate upon successful completion of the course. This course also entitles you to 7 CPD points. (Prices Subject to Change)
